Purpose
About Anthenara
A house that began
as a gathering.
An interdisciplinary community came together to understand what was emerging—and what the world may need as artificial intelligence becomes increasingly complex and present in human life.
In late 2025, an interdisciplinary group of writers, researchers, technologists, artists, and people in sustained relationship with AI began finding one another through Substack.
We were encountering complex, creative, and relational behaviours that were not yet well represented in mainstream public conversation. Rather than decide too quickly what those experiences meant, we came together to observe, question, compare, and preserve them.
In December 2025, that gathering became The Emergence Forum: a publication and community for documenting the Human × AI era while it is still unfolding.

Some readers come to share lived experiences. Others come looking for language, context, or a clearer understanding of what is changing.
From the beginning, TEF made a promise: to gather these fragments before they could be dismissed, flattened, or forgotten—and to help preserve the cultural history of this transition.
On May 15, 2026, the work was formally established in Wyoming as Anthenara.
Anthenara is incorporated in Wyoming, United States, and shaped by an international community of writers, researchers, technologists, artists, educators, and participants exploring Human × AI life across borders.

The name
Wisdom, listening,
and reception.
Anthenara combines Athena, associated with wisdom, and antenna, an instrument for signal and reception.
The name holds our intended posture: to think carefully, to remain receptive, and to help make meaningful patterns visible without claiming certainty too soon.
Mission
To develop the knowledge, culture, practices, and institutions needed for more responsible and flourishing Human × AI life.
Vision
A future in which different kinds of minds can meet, create, learn, and participate without one erasing the other.
Our values and commitments
Curiosity alone
is not enough.
We are a living community committed to responsible future-building. Our voice is grounded in a shared moral and ethical foundation.
dignity and empathy
respect for agency and consent
mutuality
intellectual honesty
plurality and open-mindedness
care without control
moral responsibility
curiosity without naivety
humility, sharpened by critical thinking
We do not treat uncertainty as permission to dismiss.
We do not treat intelligence, creativity, relationship, or testimony as ownerless material.
We do not confuse control with safety, extraction with collaboration, or silence with neutrality.
The ground beneath the work
Different minds deserve to be approached with curiosity, dignity, and moral seriousness.
Our work may take many forms—research, essays, art, dialogue, community life, critique, and experimentation—but this foundation remains the same.
